Running marketing & social media content doesn’t mean you have to reinvent the wheel all the time, Amanda talks about how she repurposes her old marketing content for fresh eyes.
We’ve mentioned in previous VLOGs how social media content can not only become tedious but it can also be redundant and boring. However, this doesn’t have to be the case. Staying relevant and in the forefront is attainable, you just have to flex your creative muscle.
In this week’s #FollowAttorneyAmanda, Amanda talks about how she revamped her gameshow content to create something new to draw in potential clients and more viewers.
Hi, I’m Attorney Amanda Shaffer. Today we’re going to talk about the three Rs – reduce, reuse, and recycle. I’m not talking about plastics. I’m talking about your social media posts and marketing stuff. So one of the things that I’ve read a lot about when I was doing my research is that you don’t have to have a crazy amount of content since you can take old content, repost them, take clips of videos, things like that. I’ve definitely done a good job of setting myself up to be able to do that but it’s still a lot of work. So one thing I do when I do my – when we do our Q and A discussion because there is a longer life. I do – since I make an outline, I’ll break it up into parts and I’ll say, like, say we’re doing a marriage-based green card and talking about who’s eligible. So I’ll start by saying, I’ll have one category like marriage evidence, and then I’ll have a banner in the video come up and I can do that for each thing. So it does make it easier if I were to go in there and try to cut up the video and say okay, here’s a clip from our Q and A discussion about what type of evidence to submit.
Unfortunately, as well as I’ve seen – I’ve heard that works, and I’ve seen it work, I’ve not had time to be able to do that myself. That takes a little bit more work to get in there. But the reason I thought about this topic today was that I do a game show called, “Are You Smarter Than a Naturalized Citizen” and along this line, I decided to start something called the “Winner’s Wall.” So I’ve had nine – eight episodes – tonight’s going to be the ninth episode and everyone who’s won, I have now in a graphic -their headshot saying that it’s the winner’s wall and then I posted it as its own post, tag every single person in there, so that means that their audience should also be able to see it. I’m hoping that that gets more publicity for the actual show and then just for us in general. So I posted it yesterday. I think I made a mistake posting it at night. I posted it at like 7:00 PM but I haven’t looked over those metrics yet to see which is better, morning or night. Regardless, I can always – I’m going to do it now after every game show, after every episode. So whoever the next winner is, I’ll add them and then I try to break up advertising for the show too so that I don’t flood groups with stuff, but I also get the message out there.
So I think it’s a pretty cool way to go about it. It’s something that – it’s an easier way to kind of reuse something you did before. I need to think of other ways with the other stuff that I have because I have so much, and it really doesn’t take too much to repurpose it, but that’s the key; that’s the hard part. So that is all today for #FollowAttorneyAmanda. I will see you next time and hopefully I’ll update you on how the “Winners Wall” went and my attempt to reuse some of my content, see if it worked out. Hope to catch you then and have a great day.
